Prof. Dr. Engr. Mohammad Rafiqul Alam

Prof. Dr. Engr. Mohammad Rafiqul Alam is the Vice Chancellor of the Chittagong University of Engineering & Technology (CUET). He has 39 years of experience in teaching and various administrative roles.

Prof. Alam graduated from the then Chittagong Engineering College (currently, CUET) in 1979, with a BSc in Electrical & Electronic Engineering degree. He started his career at the same institution in 1982.

Prof. Dr. Mohammad Rafiqul Alam also worked as the Dean of the ECE faculty, Controller of Examination (additional charge), Director of IET, Head of EEE, SPM of HEQEP Project, and Course Coordinator at CUET. He also worked as a member and expert member of different committees, boards, and bodies. He is a Fellow with the Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh and the Ex-Chairman and Ex-Vice Chairman (academic & HRD) of Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh, Chittagong Centre.

He is currently serving as the President of the Association of Universities of Bangladesh (AUB).
